In 2001 the Third Watch Hockey Club established "travel squad". We did this to play in benefit/charity events that we are invited to around the state of Maine and perhaps around the U.S.A.
After the great results of hosting the Philadelphia Chiefs and raising $4,700.00 for the FDNY Widow's & Children's Fund, we thought that we might be able to help other charitable organizations. To date we have helped raise over $58,500.00 for great causes.
In order for us to keep this team a reality we are trying to get sponsorships. Our members are willing to "spend their own money", but any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.

During our 2008-2009 season we participated in a few benefit events. First of all we traveled, for our 4th time, to Orlando Florida to play in their annual tournament to raise money for MDA.
After coming home we played in our annual broom ball game with the University of Maine Women's hockey team to raise money for the Ronald MacDonald House in Bangor.
To finish off the season we played in the Old Timers tournament at the University of Maine.
Not to forget - we once again hosted our Hockey Camp for Kids in July. This year was our biggest year - we even had a couple of kids from Massachusetts in the camp.

During our 2009-2010 season we worked hard to raise more money. We hosted our sixth annual hockey camp for kids and played a few games with our travel team.
We traveled to Lewiston to play the firefighters for our annual show-down with them.
We played our third annual broomball game against the UMO ladies, and had a blast! We played to a tie and lost in the shootout.
This year we played against the Boston Bruins Alumni - to raise money for the PVHC kids hockey program. The game was fun for our guys and we had Jean-Yves Roy (former Black Bear and NHL player) on our team. He is welcome to skate with us anytime.

The donors logo will be placed , on our web site, on a banner that will be with the team at games, and in any programs that are made for the games. It may also go on our uniform according to level of sponsorship.
Sponsorship money will be used for the upkeep of our uniforms and for us to help kids in need. Our players pay their own hotel and food costs. This donation is to a non-profit group and is tax deductible. Our tax ID# is available on request.
We can be contacted by e-mail for more information.
